WHAT EVERY BRIDE NEEDS IN HER EMERGENCY TOUCH-UP KIT

Wedding day emergency kit

It should be no secret that an emergency kit is a must have for your wedding day. Many, many brides have suffered before you so that you could have the grace to survive without being caught off guard. Wearing strip lashes? They might lift if you've been crying. Drinking or eating literally anything? Could spill. Wearing new shoes? Blister central. These are just a few of the minor things that could go wrong but, can quickly be remedied with your emergency kit. I once had a bride have an unlucky encounter with a birds' bowel movement, and lets just say she was ecstatic to have wet ones on hand. You may not touch 80-90% of what you've brought, but you'll be 5000% happy when you find yourself in a situation where you do. As a witness to many many wedding days in the ugly stages- not the party where everything looks like it's perfect stage, the getting ready where everyone is in panic mode and there are 500 people in a tiny hotel room and someone is crying in the bathroom and the flowers have been delivered to the wrong address stage- these are the items I've found someone is always asking for:

The Must Haves

The no brainier items you're going to want to keep with you.

  • Blotting Papers and/or powder with a mirror

  • Your lipstick/lip liner and a lip balm

  • Lash Glue- if you're wearing strip lashes

  • Mascara wand- good for lash extensions, or gently removing any makeup fall-out you may have on your face

  • Deodorant/Perfume

  • Mints

  • SPF

The Bonus Items

Some things that may not be as obvious, but if you're at a point where you find you need any of them, you'll be extra grateful.

  • Wet Ones disinfecting wipes

  • Bobbi pins

  • Safety pins

  • Tide pen

  • Eye-drops

  • Makeup remover wipes

  • Q-tips

  • Eyeliner- if you are not used to wearing strip lashes and are fed up with them by the end of the night and want to take them off, the glue will unfortunately remove all of the makeup under it. To avoid any problems, a quick touch-up with a liquid liner will have you looking fresh.

  • Pedialyte travel pack- you may or may not be drinking more than usual, you're going to want to mix this into a drink or have it separately to stay hydrated.

  • Earring backings

How to Pack Smartly

All of these items are small or made in individual travel sizes so you can carry maximum supplies with minimal space. I would suggest getting a small clear PVC pouch to make it easier to see all of your items without having to rifle through a dark hole of endless contents.

I hope this guide will help make an already overwhelming day just a little less daunting. Visit ShopMy for all of our favorite emergency kit must-haves and download our printable checklist- with a few extra items included- to ensure that you have everything ready for your big day!
